UITA Industry Event in Cache County


A seminar titled "The Effect of the Internet on Marketing" will be presented Wednesday, May 11, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Utah State University's Innovation Campus, Building 1747 North Research Parkway (500 East 1800 North). Sponsored by the Utah Information Technology Association (UITA) and Utah State University Innovation Campus, the event will feature Darin Richins, managing director of Utah-based Sprout Marketing. The event is free to members of UITA and the Cache Valley Chamber and $10 for others. Light refreshments will be served. To register, visit www.uita.org/usu.

 
 

"This event will be of particular interest to entrepreneurs and inventors in the high-tech and high-growth arena," said Richard Nelson, UITA's president and CEO. "Utah State is doing an impressive job of fostering technologies and inventions, and this event will not only educate attendees about Internet marketing but also acquaint them with USU's Innovation Campus."

Richins has 17 years’ experience in marketing and communications in the technology sector. He is former vice president of worldwide marketing for Overland Storage, where he directed a total brand and identity revitalization program. Before that, he served in marketing-related management positions with Novell, Brodeur Worldwide and WordPerfect Corporation.
