Three Utah Luminaries to be Inducted into UTC Hall of Fame
Dale H. Ballard, Gary L. Crocker and Michael O. Leavitt to be added to the list of renowned leaders and pioneers of the Utah Technology Industry
SALT LAKE CITY - July 28, 2010 - The Utah Technology Council (UTC) has announced Gary L. Crocker and Governor Michael O. Leavitt will be inducted into the UTC Hall of Fame, and Dale H. Ballard will be inducted posthumously. UTC will honor these legends of Utah’s technology industry at its annual black-tie event on October 29 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.

DNA-Test Results Mislead Consumers, Investigators Say

Genetic-testing companies that promised to help consumers understand their health risks instead offered contradictory and misleading results, government investigators said.
The report from the Government Accountability Office zeroed in on four closely held companies that were marketing tests directly to consumers, including 23andMe Inc., deCODE genetics, Navigenics Inc. and Pathway Genomics Corp. The report was released at a congressional hearing Thursday.
